Darkness.
That is all that I saw when I woke up in this place. My name? I try to remember what had happened to me. My name. My parents were always loving and caring for me. My name... is, let's just say that I am sixteen years old and from the United States. I was studying abroad in England when all of this happened. Don't ask me how it did. Just know that it did. What if I had told you a strange tale? No, not a fairytale. You would have wished it stayed that way. Yet, this was no fairytale at all. This account had just happened to me. And now, I am back at my college, and I have a feeling something strange will happen. I soon found out that this happens every once in a blue moon.
The original year is 1972. I was able to graduate early and moved to England to study abroad. Suddenly, I woke up in this place after nearly escaping something from a nightmare. A group of guys tried to come after me, but I escaped. Police had came and got them, yet they couldn't save me. Why?
Then, I found myself outside of a large cave, and I saw an entire forest from the cave. I gasped and realized that this was not planet Earth. A place that has a large moon enough to see, last I checked. The moon wasn't that close. So then, how did it get that close to the earth? This is where my story started to begin.
"Hey!"
I turned around and noticed a few men in knight outfits came rushing and noticed me, as I had only noticed THEM. "Oh snap!" I said before darting out of their way. My short hair wasn't a problem. But trying to dodge the men running fast enough was. I was starting to get cuts from trying to get away from them. A cut to the check and a bad brush on the left arm, but I was still trying to be careful. Running from cosplayers was the last thing that came to my mind. But if the theory was correct, and this world isn't earth. Then I'm really in a big pickle, now am I?
I nearly stumbled. However, I yelped when I was suddenly grabbed and thrusted to the ground on my stomach. Something extremely big and heavy held me down. I could hear the men stop, and they gasped.
"Aonghus!" The man was husky, light-skinned, and strong enough to hold me down. But... I ONLY DESIRED THAT I WAS STRONGER! "Aye, ya dare try to move, lass', and my wie alone can crush ya to da ground." I eyed from the side. His broken English told me enough about what he could do to me. So I took his word for it as he snapped his fingers. Telling one of the men to grab ropes tight enough to keep me bound, have my waist nearly bound as well, and they forced me onto a horse that suddenly just showed up out of nowhere. That told me they were all riding on horses at some point, with few who didn't. On my count, there were about 20 men, including a captain and the man they named Aonghus.
"So, what are you doing here in the sacred forest?" The Captian had spoken. He was slender, around thirty-two, red-haired, and baired. This was no luck for the Irish. And now, I am starting to doubt this was a well-scripted play.
"Well, speak, lass!"
"I'm more than just being called "lass"!" I argued back.
"Ya name."
I said nothing and turned away. They all knew what I had meant. Aonghus shook his head. "Nothing out of ye, are ya? Very well. Take her to see King Amaldus I. We'll figure out a way to deal with her and find out who and what she is. Where she comes from. " Now he starts to sound... oof!
They all dragged themselves back to their horses while I was forced onto one.
For months, I was stuck at the castle. A medieval one at that. There was the King, who decided to have me in jail and then interrogated. "Oh, why did this have to happen to me!" I fumed in irritation. It was dreadful, and all I wanted to do was study at my University. So it was a mess when they called me in for interrogation. But they couldn't find anything with me, no compelling evidence about things that were happening around them since I just happened to have been at the wrong place at the wrong time. But now, what could have been done?
It was then that, according to the King, somebody had been snooping around the villages and causing trouble. They couldn't find that it was me. Some were quick to put false identities on me, that it wasn't a joke. So then I was released.
He suddenly had for me to tell him more about Earth, where I came from, and my life. And why. However, something also had happened. And eventually, I started getting visions from time to time.
They were situated north, the Kingdom, which I couldn't reveal right now for safety reasons until I discovered they had plans to move towards the middle.
My eyes widened. Then, one of the Princesses of this world, named Tamaron, had a family that came from a desert. Yet, she explained that these visions are from things to come, and so they had written everything down. It would be foretold in about 400 years.
"...400 years..." she memorized to herself.
"Tamaron. What is this man supposed to do? He's a little older than me. And yet, he's asking for marriage! I can't. Less something happens to the two kids we've "adopted". These kids were orphan kids who thought to try to attach to myself and the person who eventually wanted to have me around. However, I knew where I needed to be. Yet, I wanted to stay and get an education. However, my heart panged for Earth. And the waves of time were to call me back. If only it were soon enough to stop the suffering.
"Well, crossing through time is one thing, and you must return back home. Don't you have college, as you call it? We have a similar function here called a University."
I nodded.
"Yeah, I know. That is why I wanted to tell you that I don't want to leave. I want to stay. But please, whatever happens, you would protect Rao and Elisa. I know that Rao will grow up to become a Knight, and Elisa is the only one who can pass down these traditions."
"Then let it be known of this, and I will ensure it is done." And so that is what Princess Tamaron has declared to King Amaldus I.
Then, another "girl" would show up and save Earth and this place. TIME would, at some point, be influenced. And the darkness would be pushed back. But for now, this place had to be sealed. And so I grabbed the KEY... And so would be this dark lord that I forced to split in two. Somehow, he would return and be defeated for good.
Rao did become a knight and had four children, who went on and begat other children. As did Aonghus, who also had a daughter and many children become of her and her line, And another man was named after him. Elisa had passed on the tradition whose family moved to the forest and lived there for a long time until they left and went to a small village of Amythis.
A true hero must come, as I had found mine. He was everything that he become, yet his abilities were stripped, and he nearly died before me! Yet, this new person would be able to do what I couldn't and more. And what I can do and maybe less. Not without friends, not without the royal family. Is this all possible? I had hoped. Trust in the creator and that nothing like this situation that overran the beautiful land, which was full of peace, would not experience this darkness again.
In turn, I left a letter explaining my reasoning, which they found out and forgave. Felt it was wise at best. Now, I needed to give a name.
This place, I soon found out, would be known as...
Nova.
As far as a name for myself?
...Sarena Einbough.
