Man of Many Sorrows, we cry out to you today
A cherished friend and brother has been taken tragically
A victim of the violence from the ones who do not know
that the grace and mercy of the cross
can free them from a life of loss...
His smile
his song
was not enough
to loose the chains of being tough
Accusers don't know who they are,
but he had no time to show them who YOU are

Man of Many Sorrows, you're acquainted with our grief
This precious life of influence was given time too brief
A victim of the hurting ones, held captive to the scene
they walk in shackles, wielding guns
in bondage to the evil one
His smile
his song
was not enough
to loose the chains of being tough

The aimless don't know who they are,
but he had no time to show them who YOU are

Man of Many Sorrows, we cry out to you today.
