Monday Blues

I wake to the sky so dark and gloom
As the rain trickles down to make Earth bloom
As I sit alone up in my room
Oh no I feel the Monday blues
Cars start honking a jazzy tune
Oh, sun why don't you shine on through?
Oh, why shall thy rain while I'm in pain?
Monday Blues is just a way for mother nature to feel her pain
Poisoned by pollution that remains in her veins
Poisoned by our mess that tends to remain
As the Earth may turn to a brand-new day
The empty fields of trunks will remain
Oh Monday blues how you drown the sound
The screams of help that let her drown
Oh Monday blues, oh Monday blues
I wish that I could fix these views
