Ice

your eyes
your eyes
your eyes
we're young you're so wise
how much have they seen?
too much, it seems
peer inside my mind
ecrypt my cryptic feelings
unpackage every thought
piercing
like the ice we glide
stare I cannot hide
you know me to the T-stop
everything I keep inside
but you wear a disguise
show me what lies behind
your eyes
your eyes
your eyes
dry of tears
flowing with secrets
how much have they seen?
too much, it seems
you lean and stumble and fly
my hands are quick to guide
palm to palm
fingers intertwine
tight enough to pull you close
so you dont fall behind
soft enough to hear your heart
beating next to mine
our blades engrave the ice
as I help you stabilize

I'm frozen
