Daughter

how beautiful
are eyes that shine
lit within by a burning heart's-fire
hungry and at peace...
taking in the world
while keeping it at arm's length
alone, unflinching as tempered

and
she
is goddess incarnate
a fledgling deity
she blazes
but she stills to love and to listen
galaxies lie beneath her heartbeat, her fingers sketch infinity
how beautiful is she
dazzling potential
refracting in her tears
how beautiful.
