I Miss You Friend

I hope to speak to you by sharing what speaks to me, to give you peace with a piece of me on a piece of paper
Where did you go?
Things were going so well
I don't know if we'll meet again
Nothing sure can tell

The winds have changed
The tide is out
I guess I should move on
But I will still remember you
When all we've known is gone

The road ahead is long and dark
The thought of you is bright
If I continue pushing on
I'll make it though the night

And maybe I'll see you again
Some bright and happy day
I deeply hope that time is soon
I'm missing you today
