Emotions

Life's a journey
All in all
Ups and downs
Climbs and falls

Often my mind wanders
To a quiet place
"Why does my heart ache
What is this cold, dark space?"

Emotions of sadness, happiness
Frustration, and the blues
They always change
With ever added news

Can one cope with feelings
All over the place?
Turn them off, I think
Or provide me some grace

And so my heart shrinks
From big to small
Can I handle emotions?
Not. At. All.
