Cries 2020

Black vested wall confining, choking, overreaching
On knees resist pale bank unmoved
Stoney-faced
Outrage
Shows in mind
Repeating crimes, snuffed out
Of story reeling cracks in Liberty’s stone tablet

Madness overtaking throngs of mindless
Messages repeated, losing meaning
Didn’t want him dead, fools, they were careless
Now stand I their trial, your bloodlust seeking

Lives blurring into one stained shriek
Your tower shall fall
And justice meet
Reach for
cover
We find you
And your secrets reeking
Lead to hoards your righteous
Squadron falters, always repeating

Your cry for justice meets ears blunted from
Years of rushing to meet your desperate cry
And finding death, abuse, a life deformed
In all kinds of hell on us you rely

Matter not that pure fall deeper than the rest?
Who watch from safety our distress
And wonder why
We weep
For family lost
In causeless blunder
Bullet crumbles home of nations, indivisible
