He said,
"Everyone is buying it like mad."
"And you need another 40 rolls?"
I said.

He didn't.
But with toilet paper the new currency,
he soon became a greedy robber baron.
Until supply exceeded his demands.

He disappeared till after the pandemic.
Resurfaced wrapped in toilet paper.
Like a Halloween mummy,
he insisted he was cursed.
