Haikulele

Ocean waves cry mist
Perpetual frustration
Grains steeped with their tears

My ukulele
Eternal oscillation
She weeps for me now

Who carries your ache
You no longer feel the rain
Stop running, coward

Find the dawn, Sunset
I can feel you searching, Dusk
Twilight grows closer

Look to the ocean
See how he mourns gracefully
Be ever humble

Listen to my muse
Hear how she writes my sorrow
Sing a pale echo

On this shore I wait
For that fortune windy gale
To deliver you
