Division Unites Us

Sometimes people forget
We are on the same side,
We fight each other
Instead of the enemy.

A country full of hypocrites,
We denounce our neighbors, yet
We are quick to point out another’s
Judgements.

We’ve all traded in political diversity for
Debt and extremity.

Acceptance is a priority on paper, yet
Conservative minds are excluded
And liberals are typecast.

All races, African-Americans, Asian-Americans
Caucasians, Hispanic-Americans
Discriminate against the other,
As well as members of their own.

Division is the one thing that unites us.
