Open Letter on a Broken Heart

Dear —,
Here’s my two cents about thieving: if you’re going to steal someone’s heart, you should let them have yours; it’s hard to live without a heart, you know. If they can’t have yours, then please return theirs in at least the condition in which you found it. But whatever you do, for heaven’s sake don’t break it and hold onto the pieces!
