Another day of terror, waking up and going on the school bus is a nightmare already. The other kids pick on me every day. I always work alone on projects. nobody talks to me, nor do I socialize with others.

"What are you?"

Today was the day I was trying to avoid my whole life.

"Boys on one side, girls on another." announced our gym teacher.

I had to find an excuse. "May I go to the bathroom?"
"No," replied the gym instructor, "just because you hate dodgeball doesn't mean you can avoid it. Now go to the girl's side."

Did he just assume my gender?
That's it. I won't hide it anymore. Everybody will know my secret.

"NO!" Everybody goes quiet.

"What?" Asks the gym instructor.

"I'm not a girl. I'm not a boy. I am not weird. I am queer, and you all have to accept it.
