Ernest Hemingway

American novelist, short story writer, and journalist, Ernest Hemingway is one of the most influential writers to come out of the 20th century. His writing style, which was understated and economical, a style which he termed "The Iceburg Theory," and his adventurous and lifestyle have made Hemingway an object of admiration and influence all around the world. In 1954, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature and, in total, he published seven novels, six short-story collections, and two non-fiction works.
